From Faro airport

By Car

If you have a rental car follow the signs for A22 leaving the airport. The A22 is a toll-road so ask your rental company how to pay for this. Follow the A22 all the way till Lagos/Vila do Bispo, once off the highway take the first round about right. Keep following the signs for Vila do Bispo. You come passed multiple roundabouts, just keep going straight on. Once you pass a big Intermarche on your right, you should turn the next round about to the left. Follow this road into the village, once in the heart of the village you turn left. You will find number 8 on your right hand side. You have arrived!

By Shuttle Bus

This takes about 2-3 hours and brings you right to our door. It takes longer because you are with other travellers in one minibus and they stop a couple of times to drop everybody off.

Once on the site put your travel destination as: FARO – SAGRES and then Figueira- casinhas da figueira.

By Train

From the airport you can take a taxi to the train station for more or less €8,00, from there you can take the train to Lagos.
There are about 15 trains per day, and it takes you almost 2 hours to get to Lagos.
From Lagos train station you can walk to the bus station on the other side of the canal. Here you can catch a bus to Figueira which will take you another 45 min. Or you can ask us to come and pick you up there (when available) for another €10,00.

Private pick up by us

When we are available we are more then happy to pick you up for an additional €60,00. This is including the A22 toll. Please contact us through email or by phone to ask about this option. It takes more or less 1.20h to drive back and therefore this is, together with a private transfer service, the fastest solution.

From Lisbon

By Car

The drive from Lisbon takes more or less 3 hours when you take the toll-road A2. This will take you to the Algarve from whereon you should follow the A22 direction Lagos. Follow the A22 all the way till Lagos/Vila do Bispo, once off the highway take the first round about right. Keep following the signs for Vila do Bispo. You come passed multiple roundabouts, just keep going straight on. Once you pass a big Intermarche on your right, you should turn the next roundabout to the left. Follow this road into the village, once in the heart of the village you turn left. You will find number 8 on your right-hand side. You have arrived!

If you have time on your hands we suggest you drive down following the West coast. This is a gorgeous route with many possibilities to stop for lunch. And as well some of Portugal’s most beautiful beaches. The road is smaller and less well maintained than the A2, therefore it will take you at least an hour driving more. But good thing is that there is no toll to pay.

By Bus

From Lisbon you can take a Bus to Lagos. This is quite comfortable, there is a toilet on board, electricity plug’s and wifi. We usually travel with Rede Expressos: Lisbon by Bus. The trip takes about 4 hours. Once in Lagos you can catch a local bus to Figueira, another 45 min.

By Train

Book a ticket from Lisbon to Lagos on: Lisbon by Train  . You will have to switch trains in Tunes, to change to the regional train. The journey until Lagos will take you more or less 4,5 hours. There you have to walk, crossing the canal, to the bus station. Then take a local bus to Figueira, which is another 45 min.
