Praia da Figueira is our local beach. It is a beach where even in July and August it is still possible to find peace and quiet.
There are no cars, no restaurants and no activities. Only sand, ocean, cliffs and nature. To get there you can leave your car at Casinhas and walk about 20 min. Following a rocky track into the valley. At the end you cross a little river by some stepping stones.
It is a bit of a walk but the reward is an amazing place to have a refreshing swim, enjoy the sunshine and the nature.
When you go in the morning or evening you can find yourself completely alone.
On the way to the beach there are some gardens. In summertime you can buy honey from one of these gardens. Another one has wine and plums. The walk is idyllic and beautiful.
